The Polk County Administration division consists of the Sheriff and Chief Deputy.
As of December 1, 2014, The Polk County Sheriff’s Office took over security duties at the Polk County Justice Center, located at 816 Marin Avenue in the city of Crookston.
Polk County's nine 911 dispatchers dispatch and handle emergency and non-emergency telephone calls for the local law enforcement, fire and ambulance agencies that serve our county.
Investigators have the same requirements in law enforcement as the patrol deputies but primarily investigate felony level offenses.
Deputies are licensed by the Minnesota Board of Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST).
The Records Department at the Law Enforcement Center maintains all the initial, investigative and criminal files for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
