Crookston Family Resource Center is a place for area families to connect with different services and assistance as well as other parents for support.
Our Family Resource Centers are here to provide information on community resources, referrals to services, or assistance with the completion of applications and other paperwork. All services provided by Polk County are free to the public.
In partnership with the Crookston Library, Polk County FRC is providing several activities and events for families to bring their children, including the Summer Library Experience, Storytime, and STEMsational.
Some of our core services include Economic Assistance, Child Support, and Career Force. Stop by and let us assist you.

Non-clinical recovery support to assist the transition into the recovery community, services, and support include education, advocacy, mentoring, attending recovery and other support groups, and appointments.

Help Me Grow provides resources for families to understand developmental milestones and learn if there are concerns. This helps families take the lead in seeking additional support or referring their child for a comprehensive, confidential screening or evaluation at no cost.

Play & Learn
This month's Play & Learn event will get everyone in the holiday spirit by making Christmas ornaments and decorating cookies.

Family Programs
Storytime at the Library
Bring the kiddos out to the Crookston Public Library every Thursday for Storytime.
Each week different themes will be explored through stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests, and more.
The program usually lasts 45 minutes and is tailored toward children ages 3-6.
Baby Bounce
The Crookston Public Library hosts a special storytime the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 10:30 AM.
Stories, songs, flannel boards, and action boards will be used to help children 0-3 wiggle, giggle, and sing.
STEMsational
For any children interested in using their imagination to build the next great piece of technology come to the Crookston Public Library for STEMsational Tuesday.
There will be Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math experiments for youth ages 5-13. The event is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3:30 PM.
